Alex stepped outside onto the grounds. It was a nice enough day outside and he wanted to go by the lake. He cautiously walked over so not to get pranked by some of the other students. He stopped at the edge of the water and looked at it. The water glimmered in the sun. Alex stepped slowly into the lake and leaned back. He floated there, relaxing and reminiscing on past events.

Gambit was staying outside, dealing his cards, being the sociable person that he was, he marched over towards the lake when he had sensed that someone was about. He stood at the edge, he wasn't going to check if someone had put a trick because he was over-confident about his powers and fast draw.
He grinned and picked the Ace from his deck, using his powers to give it a lazer-like fire that was burning the card but left no mark, the card did not crumple into ash but stayed as it's orignal form covered in the strange fire. Gambit let the card loose and let it fly past Zale's head, just barely missing it and then stood there waiting a reaction, "Enjoying yourself?"

"Woah, what the?" Alex said abruptly as a card went flying over his head. He turned around to see Gambit over at the edge of the lake. Alex swam over and got out of the water.
"Hey Gambit," he said, "And yes, I was enjoying myself."

Gambit smirked, "Of course, mon ami." he said as he looked around and put his rolled up sleeved hands on his waist then turned back to Zale, "Might I ask why you are alone?"

"I'm just reflecting on this year," Alex lied. He was thinking about his parents really. He wanted to know so much about them, and why they didn't want him.
Probably because I'm a mutant.

"Not good, it was hard to get him, got few bruises. Especially on my eye.." he pointed it at his face. "C'est impossible. Seen Rogue around?" he asked Wolverine, Wolverine was friends with Rogue more like Best and Wolverine knew everything about her.

Alex listened as the two talked for awhile then just slowly went under water.

"Why did you do that?" Gambit asked, it was more than likely that Xavier already knew, he seemed to know everything which seemed to scare Gambit at so many levels.

Alex sank down farther into the lake. It was dark where he was, which would be the perfect place to train.
"This might be fun," he said, ignoring the water that slipped into his mouth. He started to make hand signs at a very quick pace and the water around his began to glow.
I gotta' practice this move.
He moved his hands inward into his chest, as did the water. He closed his eyes and opened them quickly as he shot his hands up. The water that glowed around him shot up over him and created a huge hole in the water of the lake. It was taking all his concentration to do so.
"Can't hold it," he said breathlessly and he let go of his concentration and the water fell, nearly crushing him. He swam out of the lake and walked up next to a tree where he sat.

Emma Roberts walked onto the shore of the lake. She wondered much about this place. She is new after all. She doesn't know the ropes or anything. She is still trying to figure out her powers. She saw some people there but just sat there.
